Landscape
Slow down. Take it all in. The views of this world we share, natural and built, are amazing.
See more →Wildlife
Powerful, silly, scare, cute... The range of possibilities when shooting wildlife is the reward, to a very challenging subject.
See more →Insect
Creepy, crawly, buzzing, and humming. We swat, smash, and zap these little critters. Here's a chance to get close and see the detail we're otherwise too anxious to enjoy (appreciate?)
See more →Macro
Everything is as you expect it, until you look closer. Macro, to me is awe inspiring. However complicated our lives feel at a human scale, that complexity is repeated when you zoom in.
See more →Infrared
Infrared photography was a paradigm shift for me. It's literally capturing a part of the spectrum that we are not privy to, and shifting it over for our viewing. There is emphasis and contrast, often where there is usually noise. I love being surprised finding what works, and doesn't work, in the infrared.
See more →Street
The world is a busy place, not because there are so many of us, but because we are so focused on all we need to do individually. Street photography reminds me to look around and appreciate the other people and what they are doing.
See more →Miscellaneous
An assorted collection of photos, mostly in categories that I just don't have enough to make whole.
See more →Fine Art Firearms
A study of mechanical precision and form, appreciating generations of craftsmanship.
